Japan largest bank Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) with $221 billion market value is reviewing to sell all 92.5% stake or buyout Indonesia Bank Danamon ($2.6 billion market value). Bank Danamon was founded in 1956 as PT Bank Kopra Indonesia. Bank Danamon current market value at $2.6 billion, share price +91.1% YTD, +91.1% last 12 months & +102.5% last 5 years. Bank Danamon – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk was established in 1956. As of 31 December 2025, Danamon manages consolidated assets of Rp275.7 trillion with its subsidiary, Adira Finance. In terms of share ownership, 92.47% of Danamon shares are owned by MUFG Bank, Ltd. (directly and indirectly) and the other 7.53% are owned by the public. In serving customers from all business lines, namely Retail, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Corporations, Danamon is supported by 1,238 conventional and Sharia business unit branch offices and Adira Finance, as well as branch offices and representative offices of Danamon group companies in Indonesia.
