United States new healthcare investment platform Thoreau Group has announced to make a strategic investment in United States health systems revenue cycle management company Ensemble Health Partners, at reported $12 billion valuation. Current shareholders Berkshire Partners, Warburg Pincus & Bon Secours Mercy Health will continue as investors in Ensemble alongside Thoreau. Ensemble Health Partners was founded in 2014 by Judson Ivy. Thoreau Group was founded by Matt Holt (ex-President of Private Equity at United States 60 billion private equity firm New Mountain Capital). Matt Holt was at New Mountain Capital for 24 years, and departed in 2025 to launch Thoreau (Backed by United States $938 billion private equity firm Apollo Global Management). Ensemble Health Partners – Ensemble manages end-to-end revenue cycle operations for health systems nationwide, including patient access, coding, claims management, denial prevention, accounts receivable follow-up and the patient financial experience.
