United States mediterranean fast-casual restaurant chain Cava has IPO (Initial Public Offering) on NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) at $22 per share with $2.5 billion valuation (15/6/23), closing on day 1 trading at $43.3 per share and day 2 trading at $38.15 per share with 73% increase from IPO price with $4.3 billion market value (16/6/23). In 2022, Cava reported a net loss of $59 million. Cava was founded by Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, Dimitri Moshovitis, and joined by Co-founder & CEO Brett Schulman in 2009. In 2006, Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos & Dimitri Moshovitis launched a full-service restaurant (Cava Mezze) in United States (Rockville, Maryland). In 2011, Cava opened its 1st fast-casual concept restaurant (Cava Mezze Grill), and today, has 263 restaurants (April 2023).
