Samyang Foods Co was a struggling business in 1998 with Kim Jung-soo father-in-law asking her to join, and is now the CEO. Kim Jung-soo launched Buldak Spicy Chicken Ramen in 2012 which went viral. In 2020, Kim Jung-soo & her husband were found guilty in using $3.5 million of company funds for personal expenses. Kim Jung-soo received a suspended sentence but her husband & then-Chairman was sentenced to 3 year-jail.
