Europe private equity firm CVC Capital Partners ($234 billion AUM) and Belgium investment group Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL, $12 billion market value) investor group has made an offer to buy Italy pharmaceutical company Recordati for $12.4 billion (€10.7 billion) in all-cash deal, representing +13% premium to Recordati closing price (25/3/26). CVC Capital Partners & Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL) investor group include Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Canada’s CPP Investment Board Private Holdings, PSP Europe & fund linked to heir Andrea Recordati. Recordati was founded in 1926 by Giovanni Recordati. Recordati current market value at $12.5 billion, share price +6.5% YTD, -0.3% last 12 months & +12.4% last 5 years.
