UK banking group NatWest (National Westminster Bank) with $71 billion market value has received a $332 million (£250 million) lawsuit by Rockfire Group & Rockfire Investment Finance liquidators for unauthorized payments by NatWest subsidiary Royal Bank of Scotland. In 2025 August, UK (United Kingdom) Thurrock Council claimed UK & Dubai businessman Liam Kavanagh had misappropriated $193 million (GBP 150 million) from their investment. In 2022, UK (United Kingdom) Thurrock Council was bankrupted after investing $834 million (£655 million) into UK businessman Liam Kavanagh solar farm for regular payouts & profits secured against solar farms, with Liam Kavanagh using $38 million to buy a private jet (Heureka), yacht, Bugatti Chiron supercar and more on other luxury goods. $50 million (£40 million) had also been transferred into an unknown bank account. Thurrock Council had also invested into another Liam Kavanagh business “Rockfire investments.” Thurrock Council is a local authority for the borough of Thurrock (County of Essex) in England.
