France banking group Societe Generale has hired Nomura Head of M&A Advisory APAC ex-Japan Pei Shen Chou as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Asia Pacific. Pei Shen Chou has 29 years of investment banking and M&A experience at Nomura, UBS, Deutsche Bank, HSBC & Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in Hong Kong, London & New York. Announcement (6/7/26): “As part of the ambition to strengthen the Bank’s global investment banking platform, Societe Generale announced the appointment of Pei Shen Chou as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, Asia Pacific, effective immediately. Based in Hong Kong, he will report regionally to Stephanie Clement de Givry, Head of Global Banking and Advisory for Asia Pacific, and globally to Patrick Perreault and Juan Manuel Ramirez, Global Co-Heads of Mergers & Acquisitions. In this role, Pei Shen will lead the Bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions franchise across Asia Pacific, overseeing complex cross-border deals and strategic advisory assignments. In close collaboration with the Bank’s Industry Groups, he will be responsible for driving the origination and execution of M&A transactions that support Societe Generale’s strategic priorities across the Asia Pacific and global banking footprint.”
